Founding Forward Deployed Strategist

The opportunity

Monarch is a San Francisco-based company helping enterprises transform how they work with AI. You’ll be our first hire on the ground in Australia. You’ll own customer relationships from the initial pilot through to scaled deployments and multi-million-dollar partnerships. You’ll also help build our Australian presence and lay the foundations for the local team.

This is a role for someone who wants to turn strategy into results. You’ll work alongside our Forward Deployed Engineering team to identify valuable opportunities, get workflows into production, and expand what Monarch delivers across each customer’s business.

What you’ll own

Build deep, trusted relationships with senior enterprise leaders in Australia. Understand their businesses and identify the workflows where Monarch can deliver an immediate, measurable result.

Define the first pilot: the problem to solve, the outcome that matters, and how you’ll measure success. Partner with our Forward Deployed Engineers to get it into production and take responsibility for the customer result.

Use those early deployments to uncover broader opportunities for AI transformation. Grow successful pilots into scaled enterprise deployments and multi-million-dollar customer relationships.

Build a repeatable approach to winning, delivering, and growing customer relationships in Australia. Help shape our local presence and set the standard for the team that follows.

What success looks like after 12 months

You’ve converted early pilots into scaled enterprise deployments and built trusted relationships with senior customer leaders. Customers can point to measurable results from the work you’ve delivered together.

You’ve established a repeatable playbook for Monarch’s growth in Australia and laid the foundations for our local team.

Who you’ll work with

You’ll work closely with Monarch’s founder and CEO, our Head of Customer, and our Forward Deployed Engineering teams. You’ll partner with senior enterprise leaders and the people running the workflows you’re changing at each customer.

You’ve likely worked in strategy consulting at a firm such as Bain, BCG, or McKinsey. Our founder and CEO Sam is a former Bain consultant. You’re ready to move beyond recommendations and become an operator who makes change happen.

For the right person, this role could grow into becoming General Manager of Monarch Australia.
